Straight 2 Sleeps aids in sleeping in two stages. The first stage helps you fall asleep. Take it 3o minutes before you plan to lie down. The ingredients that help you fall asleep are high concentrated levels of valerian root extract (helps with anxiety), Lemon Balm Extract (helps with anxiety and is also an anti-bacterial) and Passion Flower.

The second stage is time release and will start working in your system about 2 1/2 hours after you take it. These ingredients are 5HTP, Inositol (vitamin B) and L-Theanine helps you to reach your REM sleep which is the stage of your sleep where you are completely relaxed and it helps you stay asleep. It does this by helping to increase your seritonin levels. Unlike Melatonine, which has showed only a 40% success rate and caused awful side effects, the product in Straight2Sleep are very gentle. The 5HTP (5-hydroxy tryptophan) is considered by many to be more effective in reducing anxiety and depression. Similar to the effects you get from turkey dinner from Thanksgiving or a glass of milk, it increases the seritonin levels and aids in REM Sleep. Inositol aslo induces REM sleep. REM allows your body to regenerate hormones. The third ingredient in stage 2 is L-Theanine which has a calming effect on the body and stimulates the production of alpha brain waves, creating a state of deep relaxation and mental alertness similar to what is achieved through meditation.
